MG elements are widely added to aluminum alloys of different grades. The industrial production is usually added to aluminum melt in a pure MG ingot to the aluminum melt, but magnesium will prior to oxidation into a loose MGO film, which not only does not afford it. Instead, the alloy oxidation and Mg elements are burned, resulting in fluctuations from ingredient deviations and different batch product components, and also lead to oxidizing inclusion defects, giving magnesium-containing aluminum alloy production is greatly plagued. Based on this, Shandong University has developed an Al-50 mg intermediate alloy (AL-50 mg) for solving the above problems.
